Hi guys. Today my dance crew and I went further and memorized the beat drop. Basically the full chorus. But only few of us came so I think we need to get a certain time. I think it is more cool if we do it ourselves than asking a professional to memorize it and teach us because for me it helps me to understand what is wrong and I know how to fix it because I know it.
Today I discovered that lots of people in this school will not understand the song so I discussed with my crew and we got an idea for a song that lots international people can understand. The song is a secret. I got surprised when we got this far into the song and we know this much. I thought we barely even made it over a minute but we got it 'till over 2 minutes. This time we did good on getting the place because we found enough space in the classroom and we have been dancing for quite a while now. We turned it into a Willy Wonka's private dance studio but it is just that it is public. Now I want to see how all the TEACHERS will react to our song.

The past couple of practices we made lots of progress but Jelle my friend only showed up to 1. So me and the rest of the groups taught him the parts that he had to dance. It was a short period of time and we had a limited time of supervision but we got time to practice after we taught him.
I was really surprised when Jelle actually did well after I taught him the moves. I think he kinda did better than the other few people. I discovered that Jelle was a more of a fast learner compared to the other people who need more time. While I was dancing as well, I also worked on my art piece as well. I experimented a new material I could use for my artwork. So I needed something that could hold something up, something like a string. So I found something called a fish line. It is a invisible plastic-ish string. It helped me to hold the ideas and actions I could of done for my project. I think I did well on balancing my time for both of my passions but I still need to work on preparing. I needed to ask for supervision but we barely found a person to supervise us. So next time I will have to get in contact with the people I can get supervision from. I am so happy because I memorized a new song called DNA from BTS. It is for the talent show even though it is 2 months later. It is also really exciting because I am doing it with my friends Ethan, Teodor, Nathan, Jelle, Edouard and Andy...and me.
I think it was really successful even though we just randomly started doing backflips. Well only Teodor and Edouard did it correctly. We also took pictures of there picks and that was how far off topic we went but we memorized more than last time we met. I discovered that it is more hard to memorize than making your dance yourself. Well sometimes. Working with friends also made it more fun because you laugh and make it more fun than when you do it yourself and you just concentrate and don't find it fun. I think we just need to be more prepared about the place we will practice because sometimes we need more time and maybe stay in for either break or lunch. But we did good at making progress for our thing. Now I want to try to make it more advanced, after we kind of master it. Today: Monday p3 And I am back from Bangkok TOM competition! It is like a thing where they give you a problem and you have to fix it in a creative and funny way with a group of around 6 people. Well I that is not what I wanted to tell you.(Off track) I actually wanted to tell you this-TOM blog at home page-, so today I taught a few fellow students how to break dance. All the choreography that I had gathered is now finally worth it!
I was trying to teach them in sequence but we kind of got loose and off track so I had to teach them all the fun stuff which is supposed to be at the end. I discovered one really big lesson from that session. So the one really big lesson from that is to never ever put the boring things at the start. I mean it and trust me, you'll rage quit and explode with anger even if you try to not. The rage will hit your top in about a nano second and yeah. But I did get surprised that even if you turn into a shook coke bottle, after you will chill and cool down again in a nano second. You won't even have time to get mad at them. Like I described it, your rage's function is really similar to a shook coke bottle. You open the coke bottle and the coke get's out in a quick zap. That is when you hit your rage max. Then the coke will clear off again in a zap. Which is when you chill. I was good at teaching them on my opinion of how people should teach. I think that if you mastered it, you can teach others as well so if there is a guy who keeps up and there is a guy guy that is stuck, the guy who is keeping up can help the guy who is stuck.(#Way of life) I still think I can do better in teaching them in sequence as I said. I was confused why we got off sequence and I found out the answer. I will repeat it now again, IT WAS BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole first part is a slow and dramatic opening and guess what,(No offense) they thought it was not a good idea even though I practiced and memorized and struggled and edited which all came to one answer; I don't even need to say it. Normally when I post these kind of reflections I go crazy and pull up^ with different jokes but I think I need to be formal with this one.(That was basically the intro)
Today I edited my performance video if you want to see it, there will be a link underneath.(The performance at celebration of cultures.(Blog at home page) Lets Start! First question: What was I trying to do? Well I did want to finish my performance video which I did finish. I also wanted to practice a few of my break downs for my choreography dance project but I couldn't because of the time. I will try to work on it at home. Second question: What did I discover and what did I do well and what could I improve? I did find out editing is really hard and I did need a lot of help from Teo in Final Cut Pro. I did find out that I am not really good at uploading and sharing videos in Final Cut Pro. I think it it is cool that I learned really fast on working on Final Cut Pro. Third question: What surprised me and what could I do next to improve? I got surprised by different volume changes in my video. If you see it, it is quite quiet at the beginning then if you hear the music your ear drums might pop! (I am not joking) Also because of the errors of the cast/credits, I think I need the cast/credits. I am so proud of this video.(Intro finished)
JK. I am really proud of this video for 2 reasons. 1, it took me a real long time to edit this video just because of the title screens. C, this was my first tutorial that was advanced. I think it is lit, go check it out above this text box. First question: What was I trying to do? I wanted to teach other people some advance moves in break dance footwork category because it is really hard to do it. I think other people should deserve to know how to do it. Second question: What did I discover? I discovered that I am do need to practice a bit more on the move before I am ready. Third question: What surprised me? I got really surprised when I saw the whole thing and all the title screens fit together automatically. It was just a whole bunch of words mushed together like a frame with the same drawing in holding the frame.(Optical illusions) Fourth question: What did I do well and what can I improve? I think I liked it when I was asking them if you catch up because I think I did do it their level. I think I was good at being open-minded to them and to wait for them. I think I still do have to like make it easier for them to see because I was quite far away from the camera. |
