Hello. My name is Hwan. My project of dancing is now coming to an end. I want to share how I feel and all my progress through out the journey. It was a great project for me and I wish this time can continue. But there is around 2 more projects so it will repeat again. So let's start.
At the end of the unit, I wanted to inspire at least 1 person to dance. I didn’t notice it yet but after the field trip, I hope someone would get inspired and would want to dance on their own time. This was my goal because I noticed that lots of people didn't want to dance because people do have their own passion and I could be kind of disturbing them so I want them to share their passion and use it with mine too. I chose to work on this project because I wanted to actually dance with more people. That was why my goal was to inspire people to dance. I think it will look really cool if you have a dance crew and dance together. I like to dance on my own as well but I think it might be cool if I can make a school dance crew. During my journey, I think there were more barriers than things that helped me. I think it happened because I had lots of different things going on with my project. As I said, there were lots of things going on in my project. Such as field trips, choreography, videos, workshops and more. To organize all of this was a challenge and some I got a handle of it but some, I couldn’t control it. The things that helped me handle a few things in my project was different transdisciplinary themes. WWA, HWOO, HWEO was the most useful transdisciplinary themes for me during this project. Dancing showed other people WHO I AM and HOW I EXPRESS IT. Also because there were lots of different things that I had to ORGANIZE all of it. I developed a lot of presenting, writing, viewing, reading, speaking and listening from communicating skills. I also used observing from research skills as well. Dancing in front of people is a really hard thing to do. That was how I developed my presentation skill. I developed my observing skill by memorizing my moves that I choreographed from the videos I took of it. I also developed more skills in different ways. I also used some literacy skills which were basically the communication skills I used. The communication skills I developed was my literacy skills for this project. During this project, I had to learn more about other people than myself during this project because if I want to inspire people to dance I have to find a way of their dancing. I think I could of done better to combine their passion with mine so they can have fun as well and understand it easier. My project wasn’t just about dancing. As I said, there is literacy, transdisciplinary themes and now math. I used data handling and measurement the most out of all the others. Also I had to handle data to organize all things. I had to balance the time of my videos and time fits into measurement. Also because all the dance moves I had to memorize, I needed to handle the data and organize it. At math you normally think you write a lot of things. In this project, I also had to document my work but I didn’t do a good job on that. I don’t think I did well on documenting at all because I had long gaps between my reflections. I think I could of done better if I left some time to actually concentrate and document my project.
